Frequently asked questions

Choose your itinerary on the day you want and specify the number of companions. Send your request through the Web, email, WhatsApp or social networks. We will check the availability of the donkeys and we will send you the answer and the budget.

When confirming the reservation, an deposit of 30% of the budget is put down within 10 days. Otherwise, contact us to check availability.

In case of cancellation of the reservation, the money will not be returned, but it will be reserved for another date.

In the case of itineraries of two or more days, a deposit of €100 per donkey is charged. It will be returned at the end if all the material is ok.

We request punctuality, so we can guarantee the attention and time that your group and the rest of the clients deserve. Before starting the route, fill out the client’s file, sign it and make the pending payment.

You will be informed of the chosen itinerary. The surveillance and management of the donkey is explained depending on the chosen itinerary. If you want to spend a night or more, it is mandatory to take the donkey care and management course, for 3 hours, on the first day of the route or on a previously agreed day.

  • The donkey is controlled by you and not the you by the donkey.
  • The donkey must always go behind you or next to you, do not let him go in advance.
  • The donkey must always be tied to the rope. Don’t set him free!
  • Donkeys are used to being tied to a rope, they are calm, but they are animals and you have to be careful. Observe if there is something that can make you nervous (people, other animals, cars, bicycles, streams…).
  • During the journey he should not be allowed to eat grass, otherwise he will want to stay there and it will be difficult for you to move him. Once stopped, yes, let it eat the grass. Before the tour you will have already eaten and after the route we also feed you, so you are not hungry.
  • The donkey will go better if there is a person behind.
  • If he stops, clap your hands.
  • If the donkey gets ahead, make a “pinwheel” with the rope. He doesn’t like to be touched on his snout so he will go backwards.
  • Treat the donkey gently, pat it, talk to it, reward it after overcoming an obstacle with caresses or good words. He will appreciate it.

The donkeys walk next to us, not us on them. They can carry a maximum of 40 kg. Therefore, small children (up to 10 years old) can go on top from time to time, when they are tired, always under the responsibility of their parents. For these cases it is recommended to wear a children’s bicycle helmet.

You have to do the agreed route, but it is possible to make changes, always by contacting us and agreeing on it. Otherwise, the itinerary is the responsibility of the passengers.

You have to be patient with the donkey. He is very cautious, if he doesn’t feel safe when he has to pass somewhere, he can stop. In these cases, dedicate time to it, but try to move forward firmly. A bit of dry bread or fresh grass can help overcome these fears. Bread, due to its high sugar content, should be given in moderation.

Get in touch with us, we will assess the situation and we will go to where you are should it be necessary. Damages caused by donkeys are insured.
